Conference Planning

Case Study

Create an adaptable custom event model, allowing a prominent statewide trade association to host annual public policy meetings showcasing their healthcare and bioscience issue policy leadership. The meetings had to serve a dual function, catering to existing loyal audiences while allowing the association to constantly recruit new national and state policy makers, as well as industry CEOs’ participation. Additionally, the conference design had to be built to maximize media attention, raise sponsorship revenue and build upon new and existing relationships for the association.

The JHL team developed a conference structure that caught the attention of c-suite executives, media, and policy makers alike. The event brought together more than 200 attendees from each of the strategically targeted audiences. The conference received participation from three national trade association CEOs, further showcasing its impact and adding value for the association’s members. The conference resulted in a net profit of more than $50,000 for the association, substantial positive state and national media attention and a spike in member recruitment.
